About Gero Onsen

Since Gero hot spring was discovered between the years 901 and 923 (the Enki period), it is said that there is an effect to cure any disease, and it has been used by many people from long ago.
Featuring a silky touch and health enough to be said as "Hot water to be beautiful".
Efficacy of hot springs：Rheumatism, motor dysfunction, neurosis, nerve palsy, recovery from illness, recovery from fatigue etc.

Shirasagi Legend.

Gero hot spring with a history of more than 1000 years, suddenly the hot springs ceased to flow out in 1265.
The following year, when the villager discovered Shirasagi in Hida River and approached, hot springs came out from there.
The shirasagi flew high in the sky, it stopped at the pine tree of "Nakane mountain", and it seems that a brilliant Yakushi Nyorai (Healing Buddha) was enshrined under the tree. The Yakushi Nyorai is enshrined in Onsenji of the temple, and we can still feel the legend now.

Lay down on a bed made of warm natural mineral stone, and warm your body with infrared and minus ions.
Its temperature is not strong like a sauna, so you can feel a pleasant warmth.

*Wear, bath towels and face towels are available for free.
Hours 10:00 am to 9:00 pm (Reception is until 7:45pm.)
